Welcome to Norlington School for Boys
Norlington was founded in 1903 and became a specialist in boys’ education in 1948. We are now the only boys school in Waltham Forest.
Since 2009 we became a specialist school in Mathematics and Computing.
We promise excellence in every aspect of our work, appearance, relationship and behaviour to combine these with good manners, respect and consideration for others.
Our vibrant learning community is a place where every student has an opportunity to flourish and achieve success in a supportive and caring environment.
At Norlington we truly believe that ‘Wisdom is Strength’ and this ethos flows through the school, its staff and more importantly its pupils.
Message from Mr. J Hernandez, Headteacher
Your child is the most important person to you and to our school. If your son is
safe, happy and successful at Norlington we will have a successful school.
At Norlington ‘we learn together, enjoy together and achieve together’, we have high expectations of what our students can achieve.
We aim to help your sons realise and exceed their potential by providing an environment where they feel challenged to achieve, yet safe and supported as a member of the Norlington Family. We value and celebrate our diverse community in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
Through our Mathematics and Computing specialist status we are able to develop the essential skills required for modern life. Your son will be offered an extensive range of opportunities to develop these skills both within the classroom and through enrichment activities. We believe in guiding our students to become Gentlemen and Leaders as well as Learners.
The school’s motto of ‘Wisdom is Strength’ is central to our commitment to you and your son. As he matures into a young man, ready to take up the opportunities of the 21st century, we will strive to develop the skills, knowledge and values that will allow him to judge the right path throughout his life.
J Hernandez
