Gwyneth Hamand (Chair of Governors)
I started my professional life as a physics teacher and have over 12 years experience working in sixth form colleges as a teacher and manager. Over the last 10 years I have managed projects in a number of settings including universities, primary schools and secondary schools and have consequently gained a good understanding of the education system from primary through to higher education. I currently work in a local authority with primary and secondary schools delivering enrichment and supporting successful progression. I bring to the role of govern or a wealth of experience in education and a network of relationships with universities and social enterprises.
Michelle Stanley (Vice Chair of Governors)
Michelle Stanley, appointed as a Community Governor in 2013, brings a wide range of experience in education to the role of Community Governor. She developed her expertise in English, cross-curricular literacy and EAL (English as an Additional Language) working in London schools and Local Authorities as a teacher, manager and consultant. She is passionate about education and is delighted to be part of the Governing body at Norlington School for Boys. She is a Walthamstow resident and sees this role as an exciting opportunity to invest in the community.
